Q: What is counselling and how can it help?

A: Counselling offers a safe place to talk about things that may be difficult to share with others. You can say as much or as little as you wish. Our counsellors will listen to you without judgement and help you find healthy ways to cope with and/or resolve these issues.

Q: What can I talk about?Asking Questions

A: Any issue can be discussed in confidence with our counsellors. Typical issues include but are not limited to: information on community resources, financial stress, relationship difficulties, anger, addictions, domestic abuse, sexual assault, anxiety, depression, other mental/physical health concerns, suicide,  and more. You can talk about yourself or someone else you are concerned about. 

Q: Who can contact us?

A: We are open to anyone living on a farm, or in rural or northern Manitoba. All ages and genders are welcome. While we primarily serve people from Manitoba, Canada, we do our best to offer support to out-of province and out-of-country clients, and to link them with appropriate local resources.


Q: Who are the counsellors?

A: Our Klinic counselling team consists of both paid professional staff and trained volunteers. All staff are Certified Crisis Workers through the American Association of Suicidology. All of our volunteers counsellors have completed extensive training through the Klinic Crisis Line Volunteer Training Program, www.klinic.mb.ca


Q: What about confidentiality?

A: We respect clients' privacy and confidentiality. Our counsellors are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and adhere to the Public Health Information Act. For information, go to our Privacy & Security Page.
